  • 2011+ model years are dealer program only!
  • If your vehicle will not enter programming mode confirm you do not have a check engine or tire pressure warning on.
  • Any warning lights will disable remote start from functioning.
  • All remotes that are expected to work for the vehicle will need to be with you in the vehicle before attempting to program. Any remotes not present at the time of programming will cease to function until reprogrammed.

Remote Programming for vehicles WITH the Driver Information Center
(D.I.C.)

1. Enter the vehicle, close, and unlock all doors using the power lock switch on the driver’s door.

2. Insert a key into the ignition and switch the key as far to the ON position as it will go without starting.

For the following step you will need to locate the button with a car image that has an “i” next to it. It will either be located to the left or right of the dashboard, or to the left of the radio. If you do not have this button, then you must use the trip/odometer procedure below.

3. On the D.I.C., press the vehicle information button until “PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY is displayed on the dashboard display.

4. Press the set/reset button (the button with a checkmark image) until “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE” is displayed on the dash.

Once “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE” is displayed on the dash, you have successfully entered programming mode and are ready to program your new remotes.

5. On the first remote you wish to program, press and hold the “LOCK” and “UNLOCK” buttons at the same time and hold for up to fifteen (15) seconds. You should hear an audible chime from the vehicle to indicate that the remote has been programmed successfully. If no chime is heard, release the buttons and try holding them down again.

6. Repeat STEP 5 for all remotes you wish to program. You can program up to four (4) remotes total.

7. Once you have programmed all your remotes, exit the programming mode by turning the key off and removing it from the ignition.

8. Test all remotes to ensure they are functioning. If any did not program, restart the programming procedure from STEP 1 and switch the order in which you are programming the remotes.
