Thought I could self-program with one key- turns out I needed programing but local locksmith provided it with their portable tablet with USB connection.  Both purchased keys now work like new ($30 for keys +$75 for programing).

I ordered 2 keys for my Dodge Caliber.  They work great after programming.  I only had 1 working key so I had to go to the local Auto Locksmith for programming.  All is well.
