I took this product to the Stealership and was told the 4 button module was incompatible with my 2013 Toyota Corolla. The chip inside (engine immobilizer) worked just fine. I lucked out and received a compatible remote from the dealership employee. I reccommend not having your purchase cut in case the remote is deemed incompatible. [if you have your key cut already, I would look into returning/exchanging the remote portion with RemotesRemotes.com as Toyota quoted my $300+ for just this piece of the key. The whole unit costs less than $300 from Toyota]
Based on my research on this site's customer service, I imagine they would send a replacement if your purchase does not work with your vehicle. Hope this helps!
Also, PSA- dealership wanted to charge $35 for cutting the blank key. I lived on the edge and trusted ACE hardware to manually cut the blank. 99 cents. Works fine for me.
